Care and Support

Arimathea

This new ministry is for retirees, or those who work from home but have flexible hours, who will, when called upon, be responsible for, among other things, the set-up and clean-up for the funeral liturgies, distributing Holy Communion, assisting in various ways at the Mass, as well as welcoming families as they enter the Church, and helping them with whatever they may need. If you are interested in participating in this important ministry of mercy contact Fr. Francis - 410-256-1630 x108.

Caregiver Support Brochure

Grief Ministry

Grief support is open to all those interested in processing and learning more about coping with the death of a loved one, either recently or in the distant past.

Two grief support groups are offered each year--one in the fall and one in the spring. In addition, a memorial prayer service and talk is held in November with an emphasis on dealing with grief during the holidays. We also offer a lending library of  materials dealing with grief.

For more information contact the Parish Office 410-256-1630

Pastoral Ministers

Pastoral Ministers are parishioners who bring Holy Communion to the Catholic home-bound, elderly, and sick within the parish community . Some also conduct Communion services at the following assisted living/senior housing facilities: Brightview White Marsh, Brightview Perry Hall, and Catholic Charities Senior Housing on Fitch Avenue.

Pastoral Ministers are always needed, and training is provided for this important and life-changing ministry. Most volunteers bring the Eucharist once a week or every other week. The Pastoral Minister and the person receiving the Eucharist work out a schedule that is convenient for both of them.

Please contact the Parish Office 410-256-1630, to volunteer or request a visitation.
