First Holy Communion

We are excited to be working with you and your child in preparing for the beautiful sacraments of First Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist.  As a parent, you are your child’s primary religious educator. Your child watches what you do, learns about what you value, and looks to you for guidance.  As teachers and Catechists, it is our responsibility to assist you in preparing your child to encounter Christ and learn about God’s great love for them in receiving these sacraments.

2nd Grade

First Holy Communion takes place when the child is in 2nd grade. In order to go through our First Communion Program, your child must attend St. Joseph Fullerton School or attend our Religious Education Classes or Religious Education Home Study. Religious Education Classes take place Wednesday evenings at 7pm from September until April.

If you are interested in your child completing their First Communion and they are not registered at the School, please reach out to Erica Stemski to register your child for Religious Education.

If your child is age 7 to 18 years old and needs to be baptized/receive their First Reconciliation/Communion, they will be placed in our wonderful program, RCIA for Children. We require that the child attends at least one year of Faith Formation prior to entering into RCIA for Children. If your child has not had any formation up to this point, please enroll them in a year of Faith Formation.
