Date and Time: July 13th –17th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. offered to girls in 4th – 6th grade in the Fall of 2020.
Objective: Girl Talk is a program designed to help girls discover who they are. Through an assortment of individual and group activities, they will learn more about themselves during a time in their lives when they are physically, mentally, and spiritually growing. Friendships will blossom and self-confidence will be gained as the girls realize that others share the same concerns about life’s challenges.
Activities: The many activities that are included in camp are Cheerleading and Dance, Skin/ Hair/ & Nail Care, Jewelry Design, Arts & Crafts, Make-up Tips, Cake & Chocolate Creations, Painting, Dance, Morning Prayer & Journaling, Fashion and Talent Show, and lots more!!!
Location: Girl Talk will be held at St. Joseph Parish Center, 8420 Belair Road 21236
Fee & Instructions: $125 for the week which includes t-shirt & a pizza party. Please make checks payable to St. Joseph’s Summer Camps and send to the address listed above.
Girl Talk Director, Teresa Stitz holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and an Associates Degree in Physical Fitness Technology from Dundalk Community College. She has taught Physical Education at St. Clare School to grades K – 8 and served as an instructional assistant at St. Joseph School. Teresa is presently the Director of Faith Formation at St. Joseph Church - Fullerton.
Date and Time: July 20th-24th from 8:30 am to 2:30pm. Offered to Middle School and High School Students.
Objective: Encouraging our youth to put their faith into action by serving our community. The youth will grow in relationship with Jesus Christ by unselfishly serving others and experiencing the joy of our faith. The goal is to Ignite a fire in their hearts for Jesus and His church, and to help them grow and see the world through His eyes.
Activities: Each day starts with learning about the Saint of the day. The Youth will be working on Campus and/ or go to a site designated for that particular outreach project. Their activities may be on Campus or off depending on the day.
Location: Connect Camp will begin at St. Joseph Parish every morning, but on scheduled days we will be traveling to different sites.
Fee and instructions: $125.00 for the week which includes a t-shirt, a picnic-style party, an Iron- Birds game, canoeing and buses to many other fun activities and service sites. Other information: Connect Camp Director for her 2nd year, Sherrie Palmateer is the Middle School Youth Minister at St. Joseph Church. She completed the Certificate Program at Sacred Heart College in Theology. She is currently Studying with Franciscan University of Steubenville. She has been a Middle School and High School Core Team Member at St. Joseph Church. She has taught Religious Education and was a Campus Life Middle School Leader at Perry Hall Middle School. Sherrie and her husband were foster parents for 10 years receiving the Governors Citation Certificate for Outstanding Care to the children of Baltimore County, and an outstanding service award for their work with children in Therapeutic Foster Care. She was a Pro-Life Chastity, Modesty Speaker with the Arch Diocese of Baltimore. She also works with Mary’s Servants. She has been married for 33 years and has 4 children.
